Local Area Agreement 2008-2011
The Local Area Agreement sets out the priorities for the local area for the next three years, with agreed targets for improvements in public services. It is negotiated by the local area (represented by the council and its partners through the local strategic partnership) and the Government (represented by Government Office).
Middlesbrough’s Local Area Agreement includes 35 designated improvement targets, 16 statutory attainment targets (relating to learning), and 11 local targets.
Middlesbrough’s Local Area Agreement was signed off by the Secretary of State in July 2008.
