Welcome to the Electoral Services section. This section will tell you everything you need to know about electoral services including how to vote. This page will be regularly updated with all the latest news relating to elections.

 

What’s Next?

Each year we are required to carry out the Annual Canvas of Electors. An electoral registration form will be sent to every property in Middlesbrough to ensure the information on the register of electors is as up-to-date as possible.

The Canvass will begin in early August – follow the ‘Register of Electors’ link on the right to find out more and to obtain a step by step guide to completing the Annual Canvass Form.

 

Election News
  • There is a current vacancy for a Borough Councillor in the Ayresome Ward following the resignation of Councillor Barbara Dunne (Labour). For further information follow this link to the By Election Page.

  • The next election scheduled to take place in Middlesbrough will be the local government elections and the Mayoral election, which will be held on 5 May 2011.

  • In order to vote at elections, your name must be included in the Register of Electors. To find out if you are registered contact the Electoral Services office.
