The aim of installing domestic violence alarms is to give greater security and peace of mind to women and families, and improve their safety in the home.
Activating the telephone-based alarm alerts the Control Centre, whereas they will in turn call the Police, 999, for instant attendance.
The service is available to women who live in any type of self-contained accommodation whether it is housing association, private rented, owner occupied or council and it is a major contribution to community safety for women who are or have experienced domestic violence. |
