Middlesbrough Intermediate Care Centre

Middlesbrough Intermediate Care Centre provides a range of services to maximise independence, prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital or long-term care and enables early discharge from hospital. Information about services at the centre can be seen in the leaflet on the right hand side of this page. 

Our services can be used by people who are:

  • residents of Middlesbrough; 
  • 18 years old or over;
  • able to have their medical needs met by Primary Care;
  • willing to take part in rehabilitation services and
  • willing to consent to referral.

At the Intermediate Care Centre we provide four services:

  • the Mobile Response Service;
  • the Rapid Response Service;
  • the Reablement Service and
  • the Residential Rehabilitation Service.

All of our services are free of charge.
