Exercise in the Park

Walking is a great way to improve your health. It is an ideal, low intensity, cardiovascular exercise that can contribute to improved aerobic fitness.

The government recommended that people complete at least five lots of thirty minutes of moderate exercise per week – depending upon your level of fitness and current speed. This could be one, two, three or even four times around the park each session.

The marked routes below vary in length. By following the pathways you will know how far you have completed each session. You can use distance against time to measure your improved fitness whether you are jogging or walking.

The surroundings of the park will make your exercise a pleasure. Watch the seasons pass by as you gradually clock up the miles! Ask any of the rangers if you need help with the routes.
