Thorntree Park

Introduction
Thorntree Park is within walking distance of most people living in the East Middlesbrough area. The Council has been working closely with local people and Groundwork South Tees and have been successful in applying for funds to improve the park. Although the work is not yet complete, substantial progress has been made with the children's play areas and multi-use courts. The site is well used for football most weekends during the season. Children's parties are also arranged on a prior booking basis.
The park centre building includes an activity room, changing rooms, kitchen and toilet facilities. There are also 2 multi-use floodlit courts, a full-size football pitch and 2 play areas.
