The Sports Development Team deliver community and school based competitions throughout the year, these include:

• Middlesbrough Primary Schools' Football Championships
• Middlesbrough Primary Schools' Tennis Championships
• Middlesbrough Primary Schools' Cross Country Championships
• Middlesbrough Primary Schools' Sportshall Athletics Championships
• Middlesbrough Primary Schools' Quadkids Athletics Championships
• The Middlesbrough Tees Pride Fun Run
• The Middlesbrough Mela

The Sports Development team also contribute to Middlesbrough Council's Sport and Leisure led events such as:

• The Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10k
• The Middlesbrough Tees Pride 5k
• Middlesbrough Sky Ride

In addition, in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games the Sports Development team working with a range of partners will contribute to the delivery of:

• Middlesbrough's '100 days of Sport'
• The Olympic torch relay visit to Middlesbrough on Sunday 17 June 2012
• The '1 Big Idea' event on Wednesday 27 June 2012
