Childcare

If you have children, you can get free childcare for them with government help. There are different offers depending on the age of your children, and your personal circumstances. Find out more about childcare options.

Children's Centres

We want all children to be happy, healthy and ready for nursery. Children's Centres offer activities, information, and support to help parents make this happen. Find out more about Children's Centres.

Being ready for school

It's really important to make sure that children have the skills to do well at school, and parents have a big part to play in this. Find out more about getting your child ready for school.

Early Help

Early Help is the support we give to children and families which stops little problems becoming big problems, which are harder to fix. Find out more about Early Help.

If we're giving you Early Help support, we'll talk to you about the problems you have and what help you need with them. We write all that down and call it 'My Family Plan'. Find out more about My Family Plan.

Leaving school and starting work

When you leave school, you must you must do one of these things until you're 18: stay in full-time education, do an apprenticeship or traineeship, or spend 20 hours or more a week working or volunteering, while in part-time education or training.
