Want to learn more about Prevent?
Want to understand the vulnerabilities of those at risk and know what to do to help safeguard them from that risk?
Then look no further!
The Home Office have produced an initial eLearning package open to all to help people understand the risks of radicalisation and the vulnerabilities of those at risk. The aim of this is to ensure people know how to support and safeguard them from those whom wish to exploit them into criminal activities including extremism and terrorism.
You can learn about the vulnerabilities by completing the Home Office Prevent eLearning package online.
If you have already completed the Home Office Prevent eLearning product or have possibly attended a Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent 3 session there is a follow up eLearning product also available.
The Home Office Prevent team have now released part 2 of the Prevent eLearning product which follows the first eLearning product above.
This training is for anyone who has completed Prevent awareness eLearning or a Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent (WRAP), and so already has an understanding of Prevent and of their role in safeguarding vulnerable people.
The training follows on from the Prevent awareness training which introduces users to the notice-check-share procedure for evaluating and sharing concerns relating to radicalisation.
If you have concerns and believe a young person or vulnerable adult is at risk of radicalisation, please contact Middlesbrough Council's safeguarding team (South Tees Multi-Agency Children's Hub) on 01642 130700, or contact Cleveland Police on 101.
Please note we do not have access to the completed certificates or the actual training packages as these are hosted externally by the Home Office.
