Polling Districts and Polling Places Review 2018

Thank you to everyone who commented on our proposals for future polling stations in Middlesbrough. The consultation has now closed although you can still view our proposals for each ward below.

You can now view all the comments received about the proposals. Our final report will be considered by the Council’s Corporate Affairs and Audit Committee on 6 December. Revised polling stations will come into effect from the combined Local / Mayoral elections on 2 May 2019.

What happens next?

  • Once the Consultation period has closed, all comments and suggestions will be considered whilst determining a final recommendations report which will be sent to the Council’s Corporate Affairs and Audit committee for final approval.
  • Once approved the new polling districts and stations will be posted on the council internet site and will be used in the 2019 Mayoral and Local Elections.
  • Any by-elections held before 2 May 2019 will be based on the current polling district and station information.
