Budget consultation

Have your say on Middlesbrough Council's budget

Pound sign

Every year the Council is required by law to set a balanced budget, which sets out how much we need to spend on services for Middlesbrough residents and businesses over the next financial year, whilst managing within a specified budget.

A report on the Council’s ‘Medium-Term Financial Plan, and Budget Savings Proposals 2020/21’ was presented to a meeting of full Council on Monday 23 December, detailing the proposed approach to securing that balanced budget.

Between now and 31 January, we are seeking your views on those saving proposals which may affect front-line service delivery levels.

Below is a copy of the report, its appendices and some explanatory notes.
