About Boro Becks
A three year project, originally set up by Middlesbrough Council, the Environment Agency and the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust funded by the Big Lottery as part of the Access to Nature grants programme, has now come to an end, resulting in many successful project and events delivered by the Boro Becks team. A legacy of the project has resulted in a dedicated group of Boro Becks volunteers being established who continue to work on a regular basis on the beck corridors delivering many of the conservation schemes originally programmed within the initial project.
About the Friends of Boro Becks
The good work of looking after the four becks is now covered by the Friends of Boro Becks, a team of volunteers who cover the Marton West Beck, Middle Beck, Ormesby Beck and Spencer Beck. The group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at various locations along the becks.
