The Boro Becks team delivered many successful projects and events as part of a three year project set up by Middlesbrough Council, the Environment Agency and the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust, funded by the Big Lottery as part of the Access to Nature grants programme.
The four becks which were covered by the project were Marton West Beck, Middle Beck, Ormesby Beck and Spencer Beck. A legacy of the project has resulted in a dedicated group of Boro Becks volunteers being established who continue to work on a regular basis on the beck corridors, continuing to deliver many of the conservation schemes which were within the project outcomes.
