Playgrounds

Playgrounds are a free and fun way to entertain your children safely outdoors, and with thirty different playgrounds available in Middlesbrough there is something for children of all ages.

Council-owned play areas undergo regular inspections to ensure that the equipment, surface, furniture and general area are in a safe condition for public use. All inspectors are ROSPA trained to identify hazards with play equipment. Zurich Municipal also carries out a safety check/structural survey on all equipment on a 6 monthly basis, so that all equipment is up to national standard requirements.

To report any problems regarding play areas within Middlesbrough please complete the online form. You can also contact the Environment Contact Centre on 01642 726001.
