Residents in Middlesbrough are being reminded that the current fortnightly collections of green waste cease at the end of September.
The fortnightly collections will be replaced with a monthly collection in October and November.
Residents need to consult with the new collection calendars which are available online or via the Contact Centre.
Residents are reminded that green bins are for loose, unbagged garden waste only - grass trimmings, plants, flowers, branches etc. - and should not be used to dispose of other items such as soil and rubble.
Any material left at the side of green bins will not be removed - green sacks used previously and other sacks and containers will not be collected.
Garden waste can also be disposed of at the Household Waste Recycling Centre at Haverton Hill.
Philip Shaw, Middlesbrough Council's Recycling Operations Manager, said: "Autumn is now upon us, and the demand for green waste collections is starting to reduce.
"There will be two final collections in October and November, before the service resumes in the spring - updated calendars are now available on our website.
"As ever, we'd thank everyone who uses this service for helping to ensure Middlesbrough has a green and sustainable future."
Any residents requiring a green bin or further advice and information on the disposal of green waste can call the Environment Contact Centre on 01642 726001.
