An art exhibition showing the works of a Middlesbrough painter has gone on display at the town's Dorman Museum.
Impressions, Northern Landscapes by Barbara Renton Wood at the Dorman Museum until Sunday, June 28.
Barbara, originally from Middlesbrough, is a professional artist with a unique style inspired by the work of fellow artist Len Tabner.
Although she trained and had a successful career as a hairdresser, painting has always been her passion. Since retiring she has had more time to devote to it. The diverse landscapes of the north are prominent in her work from the grandiose industry to the dramatic coastline and sublime countryside.
A recurrent theme is the Transporter Bridge which was near to her childhood home. She manages to capture it in all its glory with her colourful and energetic mastery of paint.
Barbara has exhibited extensively and is the recipient of many prizes. She was a contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2018.
