Rail travel

Middlesbrough station

Middlesbrough's main station is located a five minute walk from the town centre. The main station entrance is on Bridge Street West, and another entrance can be found on Albert Road, close to the Albert Bridge. The Bridge Street West entrance is fully accessible, and once inside, lifts are available to both platforms.

The closest parking facilities are at Wood Street and the Zetland multi-storey car park.

The station is served by both Transpennine Express and Northern, and trains depart to a variety of destinations including Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.

James Cook station

Middlesbrough also has a rail halt located close to James Cook Hospital on Marton Road. There are no waiting rooms. Passengers wishing to pick up tickets or speak to a member or staff should use Middlesbrough station. View a full list of facilities at James Cook rail halt.
