Fostering

Do you think you could foster? Then we need you!

Can you help provide a safe, loving environment for a child?

Do you want to help children and young people to achieve the most they can?

Do you want a chance to help a child or young person succeed in life?

Are you committed, caring, patient, and child-centred, willing to develop your skills and gain qualifications, and a non-smoker?

Do you have a spare room?

Did you answer yes to these questions? Then Middlesbrough Council needs you to help care for children and young people who are not able to live with their families.

Foster carers receive an allowance to cover the costs of looking after a child, and as foster carers develop their skills and experience, there are chances to progress and receive additional payments.

Middlesbrough Family Placement Team will train you in the skills needed to fulfil your role.

When you notice that you’re making a difference, no matter how small, it can be so rewarding.
