Set up a reading group
Reading groups are a wonderful way to explore the social aspect of reading. You can share your thoughts about your group's chosen book, discuss related issues, and indulge in your passion for the written word. Reading groups can meet in the library, a cafe, a pub, your living room, a community centre, or anywhere else you choose.
We'd like to encourage more reading groups to form in the Middlesbrough area. We have a great selection of reading group books to choose from, as well as support notes linked to the texts for group discussion. We can also give you tips on starting a reading group.
The reading groups website also helps to spread the word about the great things offered by reading groups, writing groups, and book clubs.
If you're interested in setting up a reading group, we can arrange for you to borrow multiple copies of books.
