Identifying high blood pressure can help prevent heart attacks and strokes. You can now check your own blood pressure and access portable test kits at venues around Middlesbrough.
Community blood pressure champions will be there to give you advice about your results, and promote healthy behaviours.
People with high blood pressure readings will be able to use home testing kits to monitor their readings. Some may be referred for medical appointments.
We're using funding from the North East & North Cumbria Integrated Care Board to improve free access to testing. We're particularly targeting people who would not usually visit their doctor.
The project contributes to one of our four key priorities - for Middlesbrough to be a healthy place.
