There’s an open invitation to a Community Fun Day at Newport Hub this Saturday (31 August).

Admission is free and there will be something for young and old alike from noon to 4pm at the venue on St Paul’s Road.

Activities lined up for a fun-packed day include a treasure hunt, face painting, henna hand painting, bouncy castles, a printing workshop run by The Auxiliary and much more.

A range of local organisations will also be on hand to offer help, advice and support including Thirteen Housing, CVFM Radio, the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner and the Victim Care & Advice Service (VCAS).

Refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the event.

Middlesbrough Mayor Chris Cooke said: “Events like the Community Fun Day are what Middlesbrough and its people are all about.

“They’re a real showcase of the diversity and inclusivity that are the very DNA of our town, and which only become stronger over time.

“It’s all about bringing people together for a great day out, and signposting people towards the great services available to them should they need them.

“I’d urge as many people as possible to come along and get involved on Saturday – the sun will be shining, so here’s hoping for a fantastic turn-out.”

The Fun Day at Newport Community Hub on St Paul’s Road, Middlesbrough TS1 5NQ takes place on Saturday, August 31 from noon to 4pm.
