As excitement mounts ahead of England’s Euro 2024 quarter-final clash with Switzerland, Middlesbrough Libraries are laying on a couple of special events for fans.

Collecting footie stickers is almost as old as the game itself, and appeals to supporters of all ages – and now’s your chance to complete that all important collection.

All are welcome to attend Euro 2024 Sticker Swap sessions at Hemlington and North Ormesby Community Hubs & Libraries on Saturday, July 6, from 10am to 11am.

And whether or not the Three Lions are still flying the flag, a second session will be held at Acklam Community Hub & Library on Saturday, July 12, also from 10am.

Councillor Janet Thompson Executive Member for Community Safety said: “Collecting football cards as been part of growing up for as long as any of us can remember, for both young people and grown-up kids.

“There’s real excitement and anticipation around Euro 2024, and these sessions are a fantastic opportunity to find that elusive missing card to complete a collection, chat to fellow fans and make new friends.”

All are welcome, admission is free and no booking is required, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
