Melinda Messenger to star in Middlesbrough’s Snow White panto

Melinda Messenger and Philip Green will star in this year's panto in Middlesbrough

TV star Melinda Messenger and returning favourite Philip Green are among the confirmed cast for panto in Middlesbrough this Christmas.

Middlesbrough Theatre is ready to entertain families once again with Snow White coming to the Linthorpe venue this festive season.

Melinda Messenger, the long-time TV presenter who recently appeared on Channel 4 hit show SAS: Who Dares Wins, will star as the Wicked Queen.

Fan favourite actor and impressionist Philip Green will be Muddles the Jester, returning to Middlesbrough Theatre to continue his own panto tradition.

The panto also features:

  • Terry Ashe returning as The Huntsman. Terry is best known for his work in Eastenders alongside many theatre productions and pantos
  • Laura Wenton as Snow White. Laura has worked on many theatre productions nationally including Aladdin, The Wizard of Oz, and Beauty and the Beast
  • Steve Banks returning as The Prince. Steve has performed nationally and internationally in musicals including Oliver and pantos including ‘Sleeping Beauty
  • Robert Laughlin as Nurse Glucose. You may remember Robert as King Rat in Dick Whittington, alongside his work in performances such as ‘Fur Coat and No Knickers’ and many of Shakespeare’s works.

With a fantastic cast, dazzling costumes and showstopping sets audiences are bound to have a fantastic time at Snow White, which is presented by Extravaganza Productions in association with Middlesbrough Theatre.

It will run from Friday December 6 to Saturday January 4, 2025. The run will include a British Sign Language interpreted performance and relaxed events.
