A stretch of the A66 through Middlesbrough will be closed overnight next week for essential maintenance work.
The closures between Newport Roundabout/Cannon Park Interchange and the A19 will allow for inspections of two footbridges and a sign gantry.
The work will take place as follows:
- Monday, October 14 - eastbound full closure from 9pm to 6am
- Tuesday, October 15 - westbound full closure from 9pm to 6am
A fully signposted diversion route will be in place on both nights
A Middlesbrough Council spokesman said: “These inspections are part of our routine maintenance regime to ensure the safety of the strategic road network.
“Although some disruption is inevitable the work will be undertaken overnight to keep this to a minimum.
“As ever we are grateful to the travelling public for their patience and understanding, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
