Add-ons

Equipment

Bed sensor

add

Bed sensors can help keep you safe during the night.

The sensor will alert the Contact Centre if you get out of bed and do not return within an agreed amount of time.

You can also ask for the sensor to send an alert if you do not go to bed at night, or you do not get up in the morning.

Bogus caller alert

add

The alarm is fitted near your front door, so you can press it if you feel uneasy about someone at your door.

An adviser will listen to the conversation, and contact your family or the emergency services if needed.

Carbon monoxide detector

add

The detector will alert the Contact Centre if it detects carbon monoxide in your home.

An adviser will call National Gas and ask them to visit you, and also contact a family member for you.

Door sensor

add

The property exit sensor is placed on the front or back door of your home, and is monitored through the night. It will alert the Contact Centre when the door is opened.

If this happens, we'll check on your welfare and make sure the door is closed quickly to keep you and your home safe.

Fall sensor

add

Fall sensors are helpful if you fall regularly, you're worried about falling, or you experience blackouts.

If the sensor detects that you've fallen and have not moved, it will automatically alert the Contact Centre.

An adviser will speak to you and arrange help. Depending on how serious the fall is, they will either send Connect staff or the emergency services.

Flood detector

add

Flood detectors can provide an early warning of a potential flood. The sensor is placed under the sink, next to the toilet, or under the bath. It will automatically alert the Contact Centre when it detects water.

The flood detector will only warn about a flood - it will not prevent one.

Heat sensor

add

A heat sensor will alert the Contact Centre if there's a build-up of heat in a room. For example, because you've left a pan on the hob.

Smoke detectors

add

Smoke detectors are vital to protect you and your home from serious harm.

If there's a fire, the smoke detector will sound an alarm, and also automatically alert the Contact Centre.

We'll be able to act quickly, which reduces the risk to you and your property.
