What is Connect?

You can use Connect to alert our Contact Centre if you need help with a personal or medical emergency.

We offer emergency help and support, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Connect is easy to use, and gives you extra security and peace of mind.

All of our staff are highly-trained and qualified. We're committed to helping our residents stay safe and independent in their own homes, and we pride ourselves on the quality of our 24-hour monitoring and response service.

How Connect works

You can raise an alarm call from anywhere in your home. Just press your personal alarm pendant or the big button on the unit. You do not need a phone or landline to use Connect.

Once you've activated the alarm call, you'll be connected to our Contact Centre in Middlesbrough. You'll speak to one of our advisers, using the built-in speaker on the unit.

The adviser will help you in the best way possible. This might be by:

  • calling your carer or a family member
  • calling the emergency services
  • sending Connect staff to help you
  • calling another service (for example if there's a gas leak)

If you press the pendant but cannot speak to our staff through the alarm unit, for example because you're in another room, we'll try and call you on the phone. If we cannot reach you on the phone, we'll either contact your carer or a family member, or send one of our staff to check on you.
