Connect offers emergency help and support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It's simple to use and gives you added security and peace of mind. The service is committed to supporting people across Middlesbrough, helping them to remain safe and independent in their own homes.

Sometimes you just need to know that someone is there for you or your loved one if they're needed.
How it works
All equipment installed in your home allows you to alert our Contact Centre, which is located in Middlesbrough, if you have an emergency that you need help with.
Once the call is activated you can communicate with the customer advisors using the built-in speaker-phone, and they will assist you in the best possible way.
Doro - no landline required
The Doro is a device for everyone. It's a handset that gives you a panic button and phone all in one.
On the back of the device is an assistance key; when you push it, a call is made to the Contact Centre. When the assistance call is made, the device automatically goes in to hands-free mode.
A personal alarm bluetooth trigger is also available.
M-Care - no landline required
M-Care is the use of your own personal mobile telephone.
A Connect officer will visit your home and programme our contact centre number into your mobile device via speed dial.
Alarm unit - landline required
Connect alarm units are specifically designed to raise an alarm call from anywhere in your home by simply pressing the personal alarm pendant or the large illuminated red button on the unit.
Connect alarm units allow hands-free communication between you and the Contact Centre operator when an alarm call is raised.
Connect can also hold a key for you in our secure safe or arrange for a key safe to be installed.
How to get Connect
For more information, call the Connect service on 01642 726009. Staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to answer all your questions. They can also arrange to visit you and demonstrate the service for free.
Alternatively, you can complete the online Connect request form and one of our staff will call you to discuss the Connect service.

- Alarm unit (landline required) - £4.09 per week
If you receive Pension Credit - Guaranteed Credit, there is currently no charge for the service.
You'll be provided with:
- free installation
- Connect equipment
- 24 hour emergency response service, should you need it
We can also offer:
- Additional pendants - £1 per week (Doro and alarm unit)
- Daily assurance call - £0.85 per call
- Key holding - £0.58 per week
- Key safe installation - cost varies and is based on an assessment of your finances
